President meets UN Secretary General

President Mahinda Rajapaksa met the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki Moon at the UN Headquarters last Tuesday. President Rajapaksa informed the Secretary General about the developments in Sri Lanka and thanked him for UN assistance to Sri Lanka. The Secretary General informed the President that the United Nations would increase its assistance to Sri Lanka. He also expressed his desire to assist the Eastern Resurgence programme of the Government.
