‘Vacate homes’, LTTE threatens Mannar residents
[Wednesday, November 14, 2007 - 5.30 GMT]   

The LTTE has distributed leaflets in Mannar asking the civilians to leave their homes by November 27 or face dire consequences.

The leaflet printed in Tamil with the LTTE emblem further said that the civilians must move beyond 5 km away from all security forces' establishments in the area.

Civilians and community leaders have reported the incident to the security forces. According to defence sources steps are being taken to secure the area.
