Four civilians including a woman were shot dead by LTTE today (November 26) at Mahawilachchiya village bordering Wilpattu Sanctuary, Media Center for National Security (MCNS) said.

According to MCNS sources, terrorists have opened fire at the villagers and fled into the jungle bordering the Wilpattu Sanctuary.

Police and security forces are now engaged in search and clearing operations in the area, MCNS further said.
