Terror Attacks:

President condoles

[Thursday, November 29, 2007 - 10.20 GMT]

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has conveyed his deepest sympathies to the families of the persons who were killed in the two bomb attacks carried out in Colombo yesterday by LTTE terrorists targeting innocent civilians, and sends his good wishes for the speedy recovery to those injured in these attacks.

President Rajapaksa who has unequivocally condemned these attacks is of the view that the suicide killer attack targeting the Minister of Social Services and Social Welfare Douglas Devananda and the attack at the Nugegoda junction clearly targeting innocent civilians, calls for the greater attention of the international community to these attacks that demonstrate the true nature and unchanging ways of terrorists and terrorism.
