LTTE claymore explosion kills four civilians

LTTE terrorists triggered off a claymore mine killing four people including a 12 year old at Vavuniya this afternoon (December 27).

According to Vavuniya Police, LTTE detonated the mine targeting a paper distribution vehicle at Kurumankadu, along the Vavuniya - Mannar road, at around 2.p.m. An EPDP member, the driver and a Police constable were among the wounded, initial reports said.

The injured were admitted to the general hospital at Vavuniya, Police said. Meanwhile, Vavuniya hospital sources said, two among the admitted were in critical condition
