No interruption in supply of essential service

The Jaffna Security Forces Commander Major General G. A. Chandrasiri said measures have been taken to provide essential services to Jaffna without any interruption and facilities will be provided for the continuation of essential services to ensure the welfare of the people.  

He made these comments at a meeting held with heads of government institutions and officers in charge of essential services on January 08 in Jaffna. 

Jaffna Army Commander said that 800 displaced families in Jaffna will be resettled within next few months.

Adequate food stocks are stored to meet the requirements of the communities. 

After the completion of the ongoing repairs at Chunnakam and Kankasanthurai, 30 megawatts can be supplied without interruption, Major General said.

Approval was given to supply 4000 CDMA telephones to the residents of Jaffna.  

Steps will be taken to address the shortage of doctors in Jaffna soon.

He also said that 20 computers will be donated students who excelled at the AL examination.
