Iran Trade Fair in Colombo

A solo exhibition of Iranian products was inaugurated in Colombo yesterday (January 27).

The exhibition in which 60 private and state-run Iranian companies have took part aims at broadening the economic and trade ties between the two countries.

Metals industry, minerals, food industry, tourism, handicrafts, carpets, industrial machineries, leather products, healthcare products, and chinaware are being exposed to the public.

Iran’s Commerce Minister Mas’ud Mirkazemi and Minister of Petroleum A. H. M. Fowzie and Minister of Investment Development Prof. G. L. Peiris attended the inauguration ceremony.

Trade between Tehran and Colombo currently stands at above $750 million.
