Hotline for children launched

President Mahinda Rajapaksa launched a child helpline with the toll free number 1929 to prevent and protect children from abuse, at a ceremony held at Temple Trees today (January 29).

 

The Ministry of Child Development and Women's Empowerment is associating with Sri Lanka Telecom to provide this service to the children of Sri Lanka.
