Tamil Nadu police, acting on a tip-off arrested a fisherman and 40 litres of diesel meant for smuggling to Sri Lanka , off Munthalmunai coast near Pamban. Upon interrogation of the fisherman it was revealed that the diesel was meant for the LTTE.  It is learnt that the arrested fisherman had smuggled diesel to Sri Lanka several times in fiberglass boats provided by the LTTE.
