The Ministry of Defence said yesterday Muththusami Ilankoowan, a Singaporean passport holder who was arrested by the Modara Police, was a most wanted LTTE terrorist who is suspected to have a hand in many civilian massacres carried out by the LTTE in the south.

Muttusami, a Sri Lankan born Tamil, has strong connection with LTTE leaders. He is said to be promoting cross border terrorists activities of LTTE as well as of other international terrorist organizations that work hand in hand with LTTE, the Ministry said.
