Increased LTTE activities in Kerala
Intelligence agencies in Kerala have reported increased LTTE activities in the state.

Recently, a top navy officer had said that the outfit was shifting its operations from Tamil Nadu due to constant surveillance of the navy and Coast Guard, to the less patrolled Kerala coast.

The presence of a large number of migrant labourers from Tamil Nadu help Tigers carry out their activities, police sources said. Recently, the Kerala police had arrested an LTTE activist, Sadaratinam, who was living with migrant labourers in Idukki district bordering Tamil Nadu. On Wednesday Kerala police seized a vessel being constructed for use by LTTE at a Kochi dock.

Further, investigations into 10,000 detonators found abandoned in Kozhikode bus stand recently had led to a man from Madurai whom the police suspect is involved in a chain supplying arms to LTTE.
