LTTE links to boat-building poses a new threat in TN |

With the LTTE outsourcing its boat-building works to
the obscure boat-building yards in Kerala, the Tamil
Nadu government has woken up to a new threat, IANS
said today (March 12).
The recent incidents in Munambam near Kochi and
Azheekkal in Thrissur district in which the
authorities have `seized' two boats allegedly being
built for the Tigers indicate that the outfit has
its presence or agents in Kerala.
The boat seized from Munambam is now under the
custody of Joint Director Fisheries, Kochi. But the
boat from Azheekal has not been seized but it is
under the observation of Kodungallor police.
Policemen have been deployed for observation at both
these yards.
