Former Minister Anura Bandaranaike passes away |

Former
Minister of National Heritage and Gampaha district
MP Anura Bandaranaike passed away in his official
residence Wisumpaya yesterday (16) afternoon.
Mr. Bandaranaike, 59, represented the parliament
continuously after he was first elected to the
parliament in 1977 as the second MP for Nuwara
Eliya-Maskeliya multiple member constituency. He
also held the positions of Leader of the Opposition
and Speaker of Parliament.
He graduated in History and Political Science from
Oxford University after finishing secondary
education from Royal College, Colombo.
The funeral will take place at Horagolla on
Wednesday (19).
