Eastern PC polls in May
The government in a gazette notification issued on Friday (March 14) declared May 10 as the date of the first ever Provincial Council elections in the east.

Accordingly, nominations will be received by the Returning Officers of Batticaloa, Digamadulla and Trincomalee districts from March 27 up to noon on April 3 from political parties and individual groups.
