Nominations for the Eastern Provincial Council elections will be received from March 27 to April 3, the Department of Elections announced yesterday.

Thirty five members are to be elected from Batticaloa, Trincomalee and Ampara districts with two bonus seats.

Additional Elections Commissioner W. P. Sumanasiri said that applications for postal votes and displaced persons would also be accepted till April 3 from 982, 721 eligible voters from three districts.
