President attends Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) |

President Mahinda Rajapaksa will leave for China
next week to participate in the Boao Forum for Asia
(BFA) Annual Conference 2008 which will be held
between April 11th and 13th in Boao, Hainan
Province, China.
The Boao Forum for Asia was established in 2001 as a
platform for high-level interaction between thought
leaders from Asia and across the world, with the
goal of promoting the development goals of Asian
countries through greater regional economic
integration.
The theme for this year's event is Green Asia,
Moving Towards Win-Win Through Changes.
China's President Hu Jintao will open the
Conference. Among other distinguished participants
will be Australian Prime Minister Kevin Michael
Rudd, Chilean President Michelle J. Bachelet,
Kazakhstan Prime Minister Karim K. Massimov,
Mongolian President Nambar Enkhbayar, Pakistan
President Pervez Musharraf, Qatar Prime Minister and
Minister of Foreign Affairs Hamad Bin Jassim Bin
Jabor Al –Thani, Sweden Prime Minister Fredrik
Reinfeldt , Tanzanian President Jakaya Mrisho
Kikweete and Tonga King Siaosi Tupov V.
