Canadian police get restraining order against WTM
Canadian Counter terrorism police on Monday (14) obtained a Court order restraining the Scarborough office of the World Tamil Movement (WTM) accusing it of fund-raising for the LTTE. The LTTE is a proscribed organization in Canada.

Earlier it searched the premises of the WTM and seized more than 1,000 items.

The police investigation into the WTM began in Ontario on July 9, 2002. The WTM's offices in Montreal and Toronto have been under police investigation for six years, and were raided by police in 2006.

The action is the latest development in two related RCMP-led investigations called Project Osaluki and Project Crible. The probeare conducted by Integrated National Security Enforcement Teams in Ontario and Quebec.
