Developing countries should formulate strategies to combat poverty and
terrorism - Deputy FM

"Developing countries should formulate their own national strategies to combat poverty and terrorism" said Husain A. Bhaila, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, addressing the 8th Doha Forum on Democracy, Development and Free Trade 2008, which held on 13th – 15th April in Doha - Qatar.

He also pointed out that violent conflicts all over the world have diverted financial from essential development project to conflict management. He underlined the fact that the governments should pay due attention in providing stable environment in which economic and social development issues can be adequately addressed.

Deputy Minister urged for the need of collective action by the world community in eliminating terrorism as a subject which is very important in ensuring security and peace in the world.
