Iranian President Dr. Mahmoud Ahmedinejad arrived in Sri Lanka today (April 28) on a two-day official visit.

The Iranian President was received by President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Bandaranaike International Airport this evening.

President Ahmedinajad was accorded a 21- gun salute by the Sri Lanka Army and a guard of honour by the Sri Lanka Navy.
