EPDP political advisor gunned down

 
Maheswary Velayutham, Political Advisor of the Eelam People Democratic Party (EPDP) was shot dead last evening at her house in Karaveddy by suspected LTTE gunmen.

She joined the EPDP led by Minister Douglas Devananda in 1992 and was 53 years old.
