Explosion in Moratuwa: 21 Civilians killed, over 40 injured (Update -2)

 
The death toll of the bomb explosion at 7.50 a.m this morning in a crowded bus near the Shilabimbarama Vihara, Katubedda in Moratuwa area has risen to 21 including 13 men and 8 women. More than 40 have been injured in the explosion.

The injured have been admitted to the Kalubowila and Lunawa hospital for immediate treatments.

According to the police sources the bomb has been exploded using a remote controlled device targeting a bus traveling from Kottawa to Mount Lavinia (Route No 255).
