Yesterday (July 1) 24 LTTE terrorists killed, 30 wounded in confrontations with the Armed Forces in the Northern theatre of operations.

According to defence sources 17 LTTE terrorists were killed and 15 wounded in separate confrontations with LTTE in general areas North of Periyamadhu, Palamoddai, Navvi and Ampaddankulama.

The same sources revealed that 7 LTTE terrorists were killed, 16 wounded in general areas North of Janakapura, Kokuthudduvai and North of Kiriibbanwewa.

A large haul of arms and ammunition has been found in search operations conducted by the Armed Forces following the clashes.
