US will continue help to fight terrorism - Boucher

The United States has taken actions to help the government of Sri Lanka fight terrorism and it would continue those, said United States Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Richard A. Boucher addressing the media in Colombo on Sunday (3).

“We have tried to help the people in the government of Sri Lanka to interdict supplies that might be coming illegally into the terrorist groups, with the radar systems we are working on or the efforts that we have made in the United States with the arrests and prosecutions against the illegal supply of weapons to the Tamil Tigers, with the designation of the Tamil Rehabilitation Organization as a conduit for terrorist supplies. There are actions that we have taken overseas, actions that we have taken to help the government fight terrorism and we will continue those”, he said.
