China to accelerate development projects in Sri Lanka

 
President Mahinda Rajapaksa who is in China to attend the Beijing Olympic 2008 held bilateral talks with Chinese President Hu Jintao today (07) at Great Hall.

President Rjapaksa also had discussions with China's EXIM Bank president Li Ruogu to review the ongoing development projects funded by the Chinese government.

President thanked EXIM Bank President for speedy arrangements of funding for the Hambantota Port and discussed further assistance from the Chinese government for the next phase of funding for the Puttalam Coal Power Project and also the Hambantota Bunkering project.

EXIM Bank President assured sincere co-operation to complete Bank assisted projects as goodwill of China.
