President visits Olympic village

 
President Mahinda Rajapaksa and Madam Shiranthi Rajapaksa visited the Olympic village yesterday (6) evening. They were welcomed by the Deputy Mayor Chen Jiang.

The President met the Sri Lankan contingent to the Olympics and encouraged them to perform their best in the coming events. The members of the Sri Lankan contingent highly appreciated the gesture of the President visiting and encouraging them. They promised to do their best and bring credit to the country.

Sports Minister Gamini Lokuge, Sri Lankan Ambassador K. Amunugama and Chairman of the Sri Lankan Olympic Committee Hemasiri Fernando also accompanied the President.
