PC polls: Additional two days for postal
voting |

The Department of Elections announced that
the postal voters who were unable to cast
their votes will be permitted to do so on
the August 14 and 15 for the upcoming
provincial council elections in the
Sabaragamuwa and North Central Provinces.
According to Department's sources 51,079
persons were eligible to cast postal votes.
Only about 70% had made use of this option.
Meanwhile People's Action for Free and Fair
Election says that 2000 observers will be
deployed at the forthcoming Sabaragamuwa and
North Central Provincial Council elections.
Accordingly, 1500 observers have been
recruited and trained so far.
