Protest against LTTE in Switzerland

 

Anti LTTE protesters gathered in front of the parliament in Bern Switzerland to condemn political killings and recruitment of child soldiers and protest against the LTTE activities in Switzerland on September 6.

The Sinhala and Tamil Diaspora against the LTTE activities in Switzerland were joined by Sri Lankans from Italy, France and Germany, sources from Switzerland said.

This is one of the biggest anti LTTE protests that has so far taken place in front of the Swiss parliament against the LTTE, its front organizations and its alleged terrorist supportive activities on Swiss soil.

Swiss representatives groups of Tamil political parties such as PLOTE, EPRLF, TELO, EPDP, and TULF have joined the demonstration.

Sri Lankan Embassy in Germany holds the official diplomatic accreditation to Switzerland. Ambassador T.B. Maduwegedara has been urging the Swiss government to take strong action against LTTE fundraising and money laundering activities in support of terror activities in Sri Lanka.
