Police to register civilians arriving from North

 
The Police are requesting the public in the Western Province especially in Colombo to register themselves at the nearest Police station on September 21.

It is reported that as a result of ongoing operations in the North people from Jaffna, Kilinochchi, Mullaitivu, Mannar and Wanni are arriving into the Western Province daily.

"Therefore the Police have decided to obtain details of such arrivals for the purpose of maintaining records in different Police areas in the Western Province," a public announcement issued by the Police Headquarters said.

The Police request the public to register their families and visitors taking temporary lodging as well.
