Army overruns LTTE's FDL

 
Security forces have overrun the LTTE Forward Defence Line (FDL) at Muhamalai and Kilali in Jaffna this morning (20), Sri Lankan Army sources said.

LTTE terrorists have constructed an earth bund just ahead of the terror defence line from Nagarkovil to Kilali, both north and south to the A-9, Jaffna - Kandy main road. Fierce gun battles erupted since last Saturday, November 15 , as troops were advancing to dominate the terror earth bund. In continuous military thrust launched by 53 and 55 Divisions, terrorists were unable to defend their defence line.
