South Asian Association for Regional
Cooperation (SAARC) General Secretary Dr
Sheel Kant Sharma on Wednesday underscored
the need for the implementation of all past
agreements to curb terrorism in the region.
Saying terrorism is the biggest challenge,
Dr Sharma opined that SAARC member countries
must move ahead jointly to end it.
Speaking at an interaction programme
organised in Kathmandu, the SAARC General
Secretary believed that the terrorism can be
checked if the past agreements are
implemented.
Moreover, the SAARC General Secretary said
that the member countries are committed to
make SAARC more powerful. He also informed
that programmes have been initiated to
further relationship among people in the
region.
