President left for Nepal

 

President Mahinda Rajapaksa left for Nepal early this morning at the invitation Nepal President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav.

President Rajapaksa will hold bilateral discussions with the Nepal President, Prime Minister, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Upendra Yadav and other political leaders of Nepal. President Rajapaksa is also scheduled to visit the SAARC Secretariat in Kathmandu.

The two sides are due to sign agreements aimed at strengthening the political, economic and cultural ties between the two countries.
