Over 60,000 civilians flee LTTE hold

 

Since January more than 59,773 civilians including women, children and the elderly have fled from the LTTE grip and reported to the safety of government held areas, military sources said.

The number of civilians that crossed over to the Government controlled area yesterday (29) was 332, this group of civilians comprised 94 men, 105 women, 68 male children, 65 female children.
