Indonesia territory will not be used for terror against Sri Lanka

 

Indonesia will not allow its territory to be used for carrying out or facilitating any terrorist activities against Sri Lanka. This pledge was made visiting Indonesian Foreign Minister, Dr. Hassan Wirajuda when he called on Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama in last sunday (29) in Colombo.

Visiting Indonesian Foreign Minister also reiterated Indonesia’s strong support for Sri Lanka’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and expressed the hope that the Government of Sri Lanka would be able to soon overcome the menace of terrorism and restore peace and stability to all parts of the country, states the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka.

According to the visiting foreign minister, Indonesia supports the international community to eradicate terrorism as a policy of their country. In their perspective terrorism poses a direct threat to international peace and security.

Indonesia will respond positively to, Foreign Minister Bogollagarna’s call to the international conimunity for concerted measures to fight terrorism, he said.
