President left for Libya

 

President Mahinda Rajapaksa left for Libya today (7) for a three day official visit at the invitation of the government of Libya.

President Rajapaksa will hold bilateral discussions with the Libyan President, Muammar Gaddafi. The President is also scheduled to visit the new Sri Lankan embassy premises in Libya.

The two sides are due to sign agreements aimed at strengthening the political and economic ties between the two countries.
