A member of the LTTE was remanded to judicial custody Saturday, Tamil Nadu Police said.

The man, identified as Muthanna, was arrested Friday night with Global Positioning System equipment, officials from the Q Branch of the Tamil Nadu police dealing with extremist activities said.

Tamil Nadu Police Officials were quoted in the Gaea News stating the arrest came after specific information disclosed by Jayanathan, another LTTE member arrested earlier.

Muthanna had come from Mullaitivu in Sri Lanka where the LTTE is facing defeat by Sri Lankan forces. Muthanna told the TN Police that he was part of the outfit’s procurement module.
