Military sources state that there is information of much more weapons, ammunition and military equipment hidden in several areas intented for use by the LTTE cadres and "sleepers".

Political observers point that the presence of such large stocks of hidden military materials require increased surveillance of LTTE surrendees and suspected LTTE cadres yet to be identified with in the IDP relief centers

They state that calls from foreign governments and organizations for the immediate release of all IDPs, without adequate screening and appropriate study of their possible links with the LTTE, do not take these dangers into account.
