The
Union
government
should
cancel
the
visas of
Sri
Lankan
citizens
who are
campaigning
against
their
government
on
Indian
territory,
said
Janata
Party
President
Subramanian
Swamy.
"Most of
them are
pro-LTTE
propagandists,"
Sri
Lankan
citizens
had no
right to
campaign
against
that
country
using
Indian
territory,
reported
The
Hindu
quoting
Subramanian
Swamy.
“If
Indians
campaign
against
the
Indian
government
among
foreigners
abroad,
we
Indians
will not
tolerate
it and,
in fact,
suspect
foreign
governments
of
planning
to
destabilize
our
country.
Hence we
cannot
practice
double
standards
in such
delicate
matters,”
he said.
Sri
Lanka
was a
democracy
and a
member
of SAARC,
and Sri
Lankan
citizens
could
speak
out in
Sri
Lanka
itself,
he
added.
