President in Myanmar

 

President Mahinda Rajapaksa leading a delegation from Sri Lanka arrived at the Nay Pyi Taw airport, June 14. President Rajapaksa and Madam Shiranthi Rajapaksa were welcomed by the Chairman of the State Peace and Development Council of the Union of Myanmar, Senior General Than Shwe.

President Rajapaksa was accorded a guard of honour on his arrival at the airport.

The Sri Lanka delegation comprises of Minister of Foreign Affairs- Rohitha Bogollagama, Minister of Transport -Dullas Alahapperuma, Minister of Labour- Mervin Silva, Leader of the National Freedom Front (NFF) Wimal Weerawansa (MP), Additional Secretary to the President and Chief of Staff- Gamini Senarath, President’s Coordinating Secretary- Sajin Vass Gunawardena and the sons of President Rajapaksa, Yoshitha and Rohita.
