The Armed Forces continue to recover large amounts of war materials from Mullaittivu, VISHVAMADU, AMPALAVANPOKKANAI, VELLAMULLAVAIKKAL, ETHENKOKKULAM and PUTHUKUDUEURUPPU that were earlier under the control of the LTTE.

The troops of the 57 Division operating in MULLAITTIVU, VISHVAMADU recovered the following: 18 Hand grenades, 02 Improvised explosive devices, 06 Arul bombs,06 Claymore mines, 13 60mm mortar bombs,07 81mm mortar bombs ,500 MPMG rounds, 09 82mm mortar, bombs,02 Bangalore torpedoes, 12Fuses used for Booby trapping,01 RPG bomb, 100Anti-personnel mine fuses.

The troops of Task Force 08 recovered the following military items in a search operation conducted in the AMPALAVANPOKKANAI area yesterday (15): 25 Anti-personnel mines, 23 60mm mortar bombs, 23 RPG bombs, 04 RPG chargers, 07 Claymore mines, 113Hand grenades, 01 booby trap, 1894 T-56 ammunition, 03 81mm Para bombs, 10 81mm mortar bombs, 05 60mm mortar fuses, 01 Arul bombs.

The troops recovered the following haul of war materials during search operations conducted in the VELLAMULLAVAIKKAL area: 20 Hand grenades, 08 RPG bombs, 01 RPG HE bombs, 02 130mm bombs, 1365 Ammunition, 06 Claymore mines, 79 artillery rounds, 03 60mm mortar bombs, 01 40mm grenade cartridges, 15 Arul bombs, 01 81mm mortar barrels, 01 81mm mortar tripod, 04 MPMG link, 700 MPMG Ammo.

The troops of Task Force 08 conducted search operations in ETHENKOKKULAM area on two occasions the following military items were recovered: 05 RPG bombs, 01 60mm tripod, 01 60mm mortar weapon, 14 60mm mortar bombs, 01 MPMG link,15 Anti-personnel mines , 06 81mm mortar bombs,24 Pouches, 02 Claymore mines, 03 Jacket, 17 Hand grenade pouches, 06 Hand grenade.

The following war materials were recovered by the troops during a search operation conducted in South of PUTHUKUDUEURUPPU area throughout the day yesterday (15):02 Hand grenade, 04 MPMG link, 56 Ammunition, 150 T-56 weapon, 3360 T-56 ammunition, 43 Electric detonators,600 MPMG ammunition, 287 81mm mortar bombs, 04 81mm Para bombs,500 81mm cartridges, 05 Booby trap.
