More funds from UK to IDPs

 
The UK Department for International Development (DFID) has approved a grant of £500,000 to UNICEF for an emergency measles and polio vaccination campaign covering all the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camps in Vavuniya as well as the provision of nutritional supplements.

This programme would operate out of the emergency health clinics in the IDP camps which DFID funded through the International Office of Migration (IOM) last month, DFID said in a statement posted on its website.
