Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu to light up tomorrow

The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has completed the initial steps to provide electricity to Kilinochchi and Mullativu. The junctions of the two cities will be lit up tomorrow, symbolic of government initiatives to provide electricity to all areas of the North, liberated from terrorists.

“We have planned to light 50 bulbs in Kilinochchi junction and another 50 bulbs in Mullativu junction. We will expand providing electricity to the Northern Province under the 180 day program to resettle IDPs”, said the Deputy General Manager of CEB, Northern Province and the Project Director, Uthuru Vasanthaya, Northern Province, Mr. Gratien Muthukudaarachchi.
