President warmly received at the Sharm El-Sheikh  International Airport - Egypt

 

President Mahinda Rajapaksa was received by the Minister of Environment of Egypt, Maged Geroge, at the Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport yesterday (14).

President Rajapkasa was accorded a Guard of Honour on his arrival at the airport.

The President is scheduled to address ‘Heads of State' Summit today which will be attended by the state heads of the member countries.

The Non- Alignment’s session in Sharm El-Sheikh is organized under the theme of ‘International Cooperation and Peace for Development’.

The objective of the NAM is to fulfill the tasks that the international community failed to achieve in attainment of development goals and realization of peace overcoming various challenges and consolidating political and economic freedom of the Asians, African and Latin American countries.
