Vavuniya-Trinco road opens after 11 years

 

The Vavuniya-Trincomalee road (B-65) which was closed for the past 11 years due to terrorist activities was opened for traffic yesterday.

The stretch of road between Vavuniya and Kebitigollewa was declared open on the instruction of President Mahinda Rajapaksa by Minister of Indigenous Medicine Tissa Karalliyadde and North Central Province Chief Minister Berty Premalal Dissanayake.
