Large hauls of military items recovered

 

Sri Lanka Army Troops of the Task Force 8 conducted extensive search operations covering the entire Puthukudyruppu area on July 25 recovered the following haul of war materials during the search operations: 21 T-56 Weapons, 12 Arul bombs, 08 Anti-personnel Mines, 11500 Detonator, 277 Rounds, 10763 Rounds, 734 MPMG Rounds, 01 Magazine, 22 RPG Bombs, 04 RPG Charges, 15 Hand Grenades, 83 Bangalore Torpedoes, 3624 Rounds, 492 GMPG Rounds, 03 Communication Set, 02 Antenna, 01 Battery, 02 Grenade launcher Cartridges, 01 RPG pack, 31 T-56 Magazine, 01 Ammunition Box, 05 Links containing 100 GMPG rounds, 01 Firing Device, 01 Empty Missile case, 04 Unidentified Weapons, 4040 Unidentified Ammunition, 37Pouches ,24 Oilcans ,06 External firing Devices, 02 Illuminating Bomb, 02 mortar fuses, 80 Fuse, 01 Claymore mine and 18 Hand grenades .

SL Army Task Force 8 troops recovered the following war materials during a search operation conducted in Puthukudyruppu west: 18 Hand Grenades, 100 T-56 Rounds, 06 MPMG links, 03 Mortar Bombs, 13 RPG Bombs, 04 Pouches and 01 Links containing 100 MPMG rounds.

Meanwhile Task Force 2 troops recovered the following military items during a separate search operation conducted in the Puthukudyruppu area on the same day: 12 RPG Bombs, 09 Bombs , 20 Anti-personnel Mines, 01 T-56 Weapon, 02 MPMG Barrel, 01 Claymore mine, 01 Firing Device, 07 LTTE Hand Grenades, 02 Pouches and 04 WP Grenades.

Troops of the task Force 3 recovered 11 anti-personnel mines during a search operation conducted in Andankulam area while Task Force 5 troops recovered 04 claymore mines, 02 RPG Bombs, 750 T-56 rounds, 04 RPG charges and 04 electric detonators from Vannivilankulam area on July 25.
