Huge stocks of hidden LTTE weapons found

 
The troops of Task Force 08 recovered following military equipment in a search operation conducted in the Pudukuduirippu East area yesterday (29): 02 T-56 Weapons, 400 MPMG Rounds, 03 RPG Rounds, 10 T-56 Magazines, 85 Ammunition, 01 Pistol Magazine, 22 Unidentified Magazines, 17 Mortar rounds, 01 Radio Set, 02 Hand mikes, 500 g C4 Explosives, 01 GPS, 01 Battery charger, 09 Shot gun cartridges, 05 MPMG Tripod, 01 FMC Weapon, 11 Pressure Mines, 5000 T-56 Rounds and 60 Hand Grenades.

Meanwhile the troops of Army special force recovered following war materials in the Karuppumudei area on the same day: 01 Mortar bomb and 01 Mortar booby trap. The troops of same force recovered one micro Pistol in the Murusumodei area on the same day.

The troops of 22Division recovered five Hand Grenades in a search operation conducted in the Uppuweli area yesterday (29).
