To further enhance ties between Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau and Shanghai Municipal Tourism Bureau as well as to promote Sri Lanka in East China, a ten-member Shanghai Municipal Tourism Bureau delegation comprising officials from Shanghai Municipal Tourism Bureau, Chinese travel agencies and media, visited Sri Lanka on August 02.

During their stay in Sri Lanka, from 2nd to 8th August, the delegation will meet the Minister of Tourism and members of the travel trade.

This is the first visit by a delegation from the Shanghai Municipal Tourism Bureau to Sri Lanka. They would view the Kandy Perahera and visit cultural and tourist sites in Sri Lanka.

Coinciding with the visit, another 05 member delegation from the ‘Little Masters’ Newspaper, a Shanghai based media organization visited Sri Lanka on August 01.

Both these visits have been initiated by the Consulate of Sri Lanka in Shanghai and sponsored by Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau.
