President declares open Uva-Wellassa University

 
President Mahinda Rajapaksa declared open the Uva-Wellassa University yesterday.

The university will comprise three faculties that would award eleven different degrees to the university students at this campus.

According to the university sources the new campus will accommodate 1,300 students to the three faculties.
