Nominations invited for SPC

 
Nominations are invited from political parties for the forthcoming Southern Provincial Council Election which begins August 21 and ends August 28, Elections Commissioner, Dayananda Dissanayake said in a news release.

The Independent Group leaders have been advised to submit their respective nomination lists by noon August 27.

The Southern PC was dissolved last week to call for fresh elections to elect new members to the council.

Voters of the South will elect fifty three members to the SPC to administer the province.
