Shashindra Rajapaksa - Chief Minister of Uva

 
Shashindra Rajapaksa took oaths as the new Chief Minister of the Uva Provincial Council before President Mahinda Rajapaksa this morning, Aug. 20.

He topped the preferential voting list obtaining 136,697 votes in the recently concluded Uva Provincial Council Elections contesting from Moneragala District from the UPFA.

Mr. Rajapaksa He is the son of Minister Chamal Rajapaksa and is the Basnayake Nilame of Kataragama Maha Devale.
