the 40th
anniversary
commemoration
of the
Libyan
Revolution
met the
Prime
Minister
of
Pakistan,
Syed
Yousuf
Raza
Gilani
in
Tripoli,
yesterday
(Sep.
1).
Prime
Minster
Gilani
stressed
the need
for
effective
dialogue
between
nations
to
strengthen
ties and
thereby
pave the
way to
expand
trade,
economic
and
social
cooperation.
While
highly
commending
the
efforts
taken by
the Sri
Lankan
government
to
eliminate
terrorism,
Prime
Minister
Gilani
said
that the
manner
in which
the
resettlement
process
is
carried
out in
Sri
Lanka is
remarkable
and
provides
a
powerful
example
to all
nations
facing
similar
situations.
The
two
leaders
discussed
the
possibility
of
introducing
an
information
technology
programme
similar
to the
E-
Nenasala,
IT
programme
in Sri
Lanka
with the
objective
of
taking
the
benefits
of
emerging
technology
to rural
areas in
Pakistan.
